Established in 1928, the Association of Consulting Chemists and Chemical Engineers (ACC&CE) is a non-profit membership organization dedicated to serving the chemical consulting needs of prospective clients and its members. Our organization brings together a distinguished group of scientists and technologists, mainly chemists and chemical engineers, who offer consulting services on technical, business development, and legal problems.

As a premier professional organization, ACC&CE attracts qualified professionals who assist their clients in creating and using chemical and engineering knowledge, technology, and allied skills. Our members are qualified chemists, chemical engineers, or other technical specialists who are presently engaged in consulting practice in fields closely allied to chemistry and chemical technology.

Our Purposes and Services

The primary purposes of the Association are to offer prospective clients a "Consultant Help Inquiry" service, which enables them to find the most qualified consultants or team of consultants to solve their particular problem. We also provide support to our members as they conduct their consulting practices.

To achieve these purposes, ACC&CE maintains and administers a CONSULTANT HELP INQUIRY service for consultants to answer inquiries in the field of their respective expertise. Requests for referral of qualified consultants for a specific task are handled without charge or obligation. Our organization also offers a referral service, which allows prospective clients to search our member directory to find those consultants who are especially qualified by training and experience to assist in solving their problem.

Our Membership Benefits

Membership in the Association brings numerous benefits beyond referrals of client inquiries. New members, or members challenged by a new kind of assignment, receive help and guidance from fellow members acting as colleagues. Periodic meetings bring members together and offer additional opportunities for members and guests to learn from and advise one another. Those members who cannot attend the meetings are kept in touch by frequent newsletter distributions.

We also organize seminars and workshops of interest to the membership and guests. Additionally, ACC&CE offers a Professional Liability Insurance program for consulting chemists and chemical engineers, providing valuable protection for our members.
