The North Dakota State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors serves as the regulatory body for the vital professions of engineering and land surveying in the state of North Dakota. Established by the state legislature, the Board's primary aim is to safeguard life, health, and property, and to protect the public welfare by ensuring that every engineer and land surveyor they license is qualified and competent.

About Our Mission

Our mission is to:

• Examine and license qualified individuals to practice engineering and land surveying.
• Establish and maintain standards of professional competence and ethics.
• Investigate and discipline violators of the law.
• Maintain public records and facilitate public access to licensing and disciplinary information.

Who We Are

The Board is composed of five licensed professionals: four board members and an executive director. Each member brings their expertise and experience to the Board, ensuring a balanced and comprehensive approach to regulation.

Our Services

The Board provides a wide range of services to the public, including:

• Licensing and renewal: Processing applications for initial licensure and renewals, reviewing applications for specialty designations, and issuing licenses to qualified professionals.
• Regulation enforcement: Investigating complaints against licensed engineers and land surveyors, taking appropriate disciplinary action when necessary.
