Otto Associates is a family-owned business that provides Professional Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, and Land Planning services in Minnesota. We believe our clients' success is our success. Otto provides a broad spectrum of services that allows us to take a project from concept to completion. This includes guiding our clients through the municipal and agency review process, providing design to meet regulations, and offering construction services such as staking and project management.

Otto Associates has completed thousands of land surveys and civil engineering projects throughout the State of Minnesota. Over the years we have interacted with numerous Attorneys, Title Companies, Architects, Government Agencies, Contractors, Real Estate Professionals, and other related associates to achieve our clients' goals.

Since 1980 - Otto Associates

Otto Associates was founded in 1980 by land surveyor Edward Otto and his wife, Wendy, as primarily a Land Surveying firm. As Otto Associates continued to grow, they saw the need to add Civil Engineering to more seamlessly achieve their clients' objectives.

In 2008, Ed Otto was named Surveyor of the Year by the Minnesota Society of Professional Surveyors (MSPS). He has given a substantial amount of his time to promoting the surveying profession and providing education to the general public. He retired in 2011 and now spends his time hunting and fishing in Minnesota and wintering in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. He still likes to talk shop when the opportunity presents itself.

In 2009, Otto Associates was recognized as one of the top surveying firms in the state of Minnesota by the Minnesota Society of Professional Surveyors.

• Civil Engineering: We can assist clients from the initial planning stages through project completion. Land development can be a challenging venture, but our expertise in civil engineering ensures that our clients' projects are completed successfully.

• Construction Administration: Construction projects require large investments of time and money. Having Otto Associates Construction Administration services for your construction project ensures that your project stays on track and meets all regulatory requirements.

• Hannah's Landing: Hannahs Landing is a rural development on prestigious Lake Sylvia. The development offers a private setting on a dead-end road.

• Hamilton Century Farm: Hamilton Century Farm is located just off the Luce Line Trail in Independence. The executive 2.5-8 acre homesites overlook woodlands.

• Granite Works: The Granite Works complex is a redevelopment project of the old Granite Works site (heavy industrial). It lies in Downtown Delano and is being transformed into a mixed-use residential and commercial space.
