Melhem & Nelson Construction

At Melhem Nelson, we are a family-owned business that has been providing construction and engineering services to the Eastern PA, Lehigh Valley, Philadelphia, Lower Poconos, and Central New Jersey Suburbs since 2018. We take pride in our full-time engineers on staff who assist with designs and permitting, ensuring that every project meets the highest standards. We are fully insured and licensed as a Contractor in PA and NJ, holding licenses and certifications from the American Concrete Institute, Northeast Center for Excellence in Paving Technologies, and for asbestos removal. Our fleet of vehicles includes dump trucks, excavators, and skid steers, allowing us to tackle a wide range of projects.

Construction Services

Our construction services include exteriors such as masonry, concrete, CMU walls, bricks, pavers, stone, pointing, and parging. We also specialize in concrete driveways, sidewalks, curbs, steps, retaining walls, patios, excavation, grading, storm water management, French drains, inlets, swales, berms, and dredging. Additionally, we construct structures including foundations, footers, elevated porches, garages, sheds, and any steel, concrete, or carpentry-based structures. Fences of all types, including vinyl, chain link, privacy, aluminum, and wooden, are also part of our offerings. For interiors, we handle demolition, wall framing, beam installations, wall removal, doors, windows, counters, drywall, and fully finishing basements. Kitchen and bathroom remodeling, including designs, flooring, crown moldings, and tile, are also services we provide. Licensed asbestos removal specialists are on hand to ensure a safe working environment.

Engineering Services

Our engineering services include permitting, soil and drainage designs for retaining walls and grading plans. We also provide surveying, structural calculations and designs for structures, garages, renovations, beams, removing walls, erosion and sediment control designs, and storm water management. We use Primavera P6 software for construction submittals and scheduling, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and effectively. Plan reviews and constructability reviews are also part of our engineering services.
