GATTIS Engineering is a civil engineering design firm that has been serving Bryan/College Station and the surrounding areas with distinction for over a decade. Our focus is on providing outstanding services in site development, utilities, pavement design, and drainage. Meet Our Founder

Joe I. Gattis, PE, is the founder of GATTIS Engineering. He earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University in 1996 and became a licensed professional engineer in 2003. Since founding GATTIS Engineering in 2004, Mr. Gattis's mission has been to deliver high-quality engineering expertise and strong project management throughout the entire project development process.

As a small firm, GATTIS Engineering provides Mr. Gattis the opportunity to offer greater design focus, client dedication, and faster response times to project-related issues. Mr. Gattis's experience spans over 17 years and includes expertise in materials engineering, geotechnical engineering, infrastructure design, construction administration, utility design, residential/commercial development, hydrology, and hydraulic analysis and design.

Areas of Expertise

At GATTIS Engineering, we offer a range of civil engineering services, including:

• Municipal infrastructure: water, sanitary sewer, street, and storm sewer design
• Stormwater management
• Residential and commercial site development, including layout and design, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, drainage and detention pond design
• Post-tensioned slab design and inspection
• Environment site assessments, Phase I geotechnical site investigations, and construction materials testing and evaluation

Certifications and Affiliations

GATTIS Engineering has received certifications in accordance with the Fair Housing Act and Section 504 Design Requirements for Multifamily Housing. We are proud members of the National Society of Professional Engineers, Texas Society of Professional Engineers, and the American Society of Civil Engineers.

Our founder, Joe I. Gattis, PE, has received numerous awards, including Young Engineer of the Year Award - 2004, Brazos County Chapter of TSPE. Mr. Gattis was also the State Director for the ASCE Brazos Branch in 2004-2006 and past president in 2003. He is currently serving as a State Director for the American Society of Civil Engineers.
