Our management team has over 125 years of experience with engineering design in nationally recognized projects. We believe in integrating innovative design technologies that incorporate lighting, energy efficiencies, and environmentally friendly systems. We have a strong background in providing accurate construction estimates and ensure that all our designs are ASHRAE 90.1 compliant.

Our History

EPIC Engineering Group was founded in 2009 by Rick Quinlan and Tim Jones with the simple goal of providing Electrical and Mechanical consulting services that were of the highest standard. They believed they could accomplish this by keeping our projects within scope, on time, and within budget. Since then, we have grown into a team of dedicated professionals who are passionate about delivering top-quality services to our clients.

Our Services

• Electrical Engineering: Our team of experienced electrical engineers can provide a variety of services such as power distribution system design, emergency power generation and distribution, short circuit/ground fault/arc flash studies, electric vehicle charging stations, and more.

• Mechanical Engineering: Our mechanical engineers are skilled in energy modeling, CAD/REVIT drawings, ASHRAE certified building automation systems, construction estimates, project management, and fire protection performance specification design.

• Plumbing Engineering: We offer services in plumbing domestic hot and cold water system design, sanitary and storm sewer design, process piping design, and more.

• Technology: Our team can design CCTV systems, telephone & data systems, intercom/paging systems, sound systems, access control systems, and more.

• Lighting: Our lighting assessments include internal and external lighting design, computerized calculations for lighting systems, site lighting design, photometric analysis, and controls for energy code compliance.

Our Team

Our team is led by President and Partner Rick Quinlan, who has over 40 years of experience in the electrical engineering industry. He has served in several key roles during his career and has worked on acclaimed accounts such as May Company retailers, Smucker's Corporation, GoJo Industries, New York Post, Akron General Medical Center FedEx, and most recently the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Vice President and Partner Tim Jones brings 30 years of experience in the electrical engineering industry. He is certified and licensed in the State of Ohio as a professional engineer, and his experience includes interior and exterior lighting design, power distribution, and communication systems.

Our team also includes a Mechanical Director & Partner, Electrical Engineer & Partner, and CAD Manager & Partner, among others, who all contribute to the success of EPIC Engineering Group.
