O.C. Jones & Sons, Inc. is a seasoned contractor with a rich history dating back to 1924. Founded by Olin Clement Jones, a pioneer in the concrete placing industry, our company has evolved over the years to become a leading provider of general engineering and heavy civil construction services throughout Northern California.
Our History
In 1924, Olin Clement Jones founded a small concrete placing firm in Berkeley, California. Over the years, the company grew and prospered under the leadership of Olin's sons, Harold and Robert. Under Harold's guidance, the company expanded into new work disciplines and increased its geographical reach. By the 1960s, O.C. Jones & Sons had established itself as one of the most respected contractors in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area. Today, we continue to build on our legacy as an industry leader, with a fleet of 300 pieces of heavy equipment, a skilled staff of 250 professionals, and regional offices located throughout the Bay Area.

As a full-service construction company, we offer a comprehensive range of services, including:
- Preconstruction: Value engineering, cost control, budgeting, constructability reviews, life cycle cost analysis, scheduling, and subcontractor selection

Experience with Signs in the Area
The company was working in the Iselton/Rio Vista area and placed a street sign with a warning for men. However, the sign was not placed in the correct location, and as a result, it was hit by a car's mirror. The company was notified and visited the site, but the sign was not corrected. After months of efforts to contact someone, the company finally responded, but refused to compensate the customer's $500 deductible.
Communication Issues
Despite the customer's efforts to contact the company, they were ignored for several months before receiving a response. The customer was left frustrated and disappointed with the lack of communication.
Misplacement of Sign
The company's failure to place the sign in the correct location led to the accident. The customer took a picture of the sign and notified the company, but the sign was moved an hour later. This raises questions about the company's responsibility and accountability for their actions.
