Peritus Engineers & Associates, Inc. has been a leading provider of mechanical engineering design services since its inception in 1970. With over 50 years of experience, our team has developed a reputation for delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget. Our expertise encompasses a broad range of mechanical engineering design services, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping design. We also offer consulting services such as feasibility studies, energy management audits, and construction administration.

Our Services

At Peritus Engineers & Associates, Inc., we understand the importance of effective communication and teamwork in delivering successful projects. We assign a dedicated project engineer to each project, responsible for maintaining coordination and communication between the client, the design team, and other engineering disciplines. Our project engineers work closely with clients to ensure that the designed installation meets their needs, stays within budget, and can be economically operated and maintained.

Our in-house resources include AutoCAD Release 2024, REVIT MEP 2024, AutoCAD MEP 2024, Trane Trace 700 Building Energy Analysis and Modeling Software, Cannon Image PROGRAF full-color printer/scanner, HVAC load calculation software, life cycle costing software, and full reproduction capabilities. Our experienced design team utilizes their expertise and creative design strategies to ensure that every project is completed on schedule and within budget.

Project Experience

We have had the privilege of working on a wide range of projects across various industries, including education, healthcare, commercial, and institutional. Some of our notable projects include:

• Central Energy Facility at Clemson University: Improvements were made to the Central Chilled Water System, including the addition of a third cell to the existing cooling tower.
• Barnett Hall - HVAC and Window Replacement at Clemson University: A design-build project where Peritus Engineers acted as design team lead, replacing the existing two-pipe HVAC system with a 4-pipe system and replacing all single-pane windows with thermal pane windows.
• Manning Hall at Clemson University: A renovation project that included replacing an existing two-pipe HVAC system with a four-pipe system and upgrading electrical and IT systems.
• Dining Common Kitchen Renovations at Bob Jones University: A fast-tracked design-build project that included the renovation of 10,000 SF of kitchen and food storage areas.
• Central Energy Plant at Piedmont Technical College: Peritus provided design engineering services for the replacement of the existing cooling tower and associated structural and electrical work.
• Ruby S. Hicks Library/Administration Building at Tri-County Technical College: Peritus provided engineering services for the Computer Service Area and other projects at the facility.
