Our History
Our story began in the 1960s when our founder, L. James "Jim" Chant, immigrated to the United States with his family. Jim's expertise in servo hydraulics and testing machinery led to his employment at a Government testing equipment and machinery manufacturer, where he worked on projects like the first human centrifuge used by the Mercury Astronauts. In 1970, Jim left his employer to start his own consulting business, L. J. Chant Associates, which eventually evolved into Chant Engineering Co. Inc.
