Shell + Meyer Associates, Inc. is a structural engineering consulting firm with over 50 years of experience in providing expert services to southwestern Ohio. Our staff of registered professional engineers and detailers has completed work on a wide range of projects, including hospitals, schools, churches, commercial office buildings, industrial, and governmental projects. Throughout our history, we have developed a strong reputation for delivering high-quality services to our clients, who include architectural firms, contractors, government agencies, and municipalities, as well as privately and publicly owned industrial and manufacturing companies.

Our History

Shell + Meyer Associates, Inc. was founded in 1962 by Richard G. Shell, who had previously worked as a structural engineer for the U.S. government and later at a Dayton architectural firm. Over the years, the company has undergone significant growth and change, with Richard Meyer joining the firm part-time in 1969 and becoming a full-time employee in 1972. In 1987, Meyer became a partner in the firm, and in 1992, he took over as President of the company. Today, Shell + Meyer Associates, Inc. continues to thrive, driven by our commitment to providing exceptional service to our clients.
