Your Partner in Building Success
Aviation Engineering Consultants, Inc. (AECI) has been a leading provider of engineering, manufacturing, and quality services to the aviation industry for over three decades. Since its inception in 1988, AECI has grown to become a renowned organization, renowned for its expertise and services in designing, certifying, manufacturing, and selling FAA-PMA replacement parts for general aviation, commercial, and military aircraft.
Our History
AECI was founded in 1988 in Florida with the mission to provide various services in engineering, manufacturing, quality, and management. Over the years, the company has expanded its operations to include over 40 employees, occupying a three-building campus on a 20-acre site in Pinellas County, Florida. Our state-of-the-art facility enables us to maintain control over the entire production process, ensuring the highest quality standards.
PMA Aircraft Parts
A PMA (Parts Manufacturer Approval) is an FAA design and production approval for aircraft parts. The FAA reviews the proposed design of the part to verify that it meets their safety regulation requirements and is functionally equivalent to the Original Equipment Manufacturers component which it is designed to replace. AECI's Quality Management System is also reviewed to ensure that each manufactured part continues to meet the FAA-approved design. Once approved by the FAA, the PMA holder is permitted to manufacture and supply aircraft parts to OEM's, repair stations, and operators. AECI PMA aircraft parts meet or exceed the quality and performance of OEM parts they are designed to replace, providing shorter lead times and substantial cost savings.
Our Services
AECI offers a range of services, including contract manufacturing, engineering and design, environmental and materials testing, and FAA-certified repair station. We also conduct our own material analysis and environmental testing, such as temperature, humidity, and salt fog. Additionally, we are an FAA-certified repair station, capable of inspecting, repairing, replacing, or overhauling your aviation parts.

Unprofessional Work Environment
The company's owner, Cameron, is accused of being dishonest and manipulative. He allegedly lies about salary and payment, and uses God as a manipulation tactic to control employees. He is also reported to be unreasonable to work with, withholding separation of employment paperwork, and making inappropriate comments about employees' weight.
Poor Inventory System and Fraud
The company's inventory system is described as "horrible" and "not done according to print materials." The owner allegedly refuses to pay suppliers, expecting things for free. Moreover, the company is accused of fraud, with engineers taking prints from other companies, changing dimensions, and calling them their own. This is particularly concerning since the company manufactures parts for the aerospace industry, which are subject to FAA regulations.
Lack of Stability and Advancement Opportunities
The reviewer claims that the company is not a stable place to work, and that Cameron will not provide a raise or advancement opportunities to employees. Instead, he allegedly makes employees feel "less than worthy" and "less than human."
Unqualified Engineers and Production Issues
The company's production is reported to be "not up to par, " and parts are being certified without correct paperwork and traceability. The reviewer also alleges that the company has an electrical engineer who is not qualified to work in manufacturing or mechanical engineering.
