Solving Engineering Challenges, One Solution at a Time

At Connecticut Reserve Technologies, Inc., we are a multidisciplinary consulting firm that specializes in solving complex engineering challenges in the fields of Engineering Mechanics and Information Technology. Our team of experts has a rich history of providing innovative solutions to our clients, and we take pride in our ability to tackle the most unique design challenges.

Our Services

At CRT, we offer a wide range of services, including Finite Element Analysis, Ceramic Component Design, and Weibull Parameter Estimation. Our expertise in finite element analysis has enabled us to develop software products that pick up where other programs leave off. We have extensive experience in design and analysis of components across various industries, including aerospace, automotive, biomedical, and energy-related fields.

Finite Element Analysis

Our finite element analysis capabilities involve the development of software products that tightly integrate with various FE codes, such as ANSYS, MSC codes, COSMOS/M, and MARC. We have a proven track record of providing solutions for complex design issues like fatigue, creep, and life prediction. Our services include development of ANSYS macro files for model generation and design automation, component optimization using finite element analysis, and development of life assessing software for FE post-processing.

Ceramic Component Design

We have a strong reputation in ceramic component design and life prediction, backed by our involvement in government-funded programs such as NASA's EPM and HITEMP and DOE's Ceramic Technology Program. Our team has been involved in the development of the popular ceramic design program CARES, as well as the DoE-funded ERICA program. We can help your company solve challenges utilizing ceramic and ceramic-based material systems for component applications.

Weibull Parameter Estimation

Our Weibull parameter estimation software, WeibPar, estimates Weibull parameters for time-independent (fast fracture) and time-dependent (dynamic fatigue) data. We developed WeibPar with in-house funding and received specific upgrades from the U.S. Department of Energy, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, and the ARMY Research Laboratory. WeibPar is available to interested organizations and individuals, and its list of users grows by the day.
