At Palanisami & Associates (PAI), we take pride in being an Equal Opportunity employer, founded in 1986 to provide structural engineering and parking ramp design services for institutional, commercial, and industrial buildings. Our team of dedicated engineers specializes in restoration and the design of concrete structures, including cast-in-place, precast, and post-tension. We design new structures of all sizes and uses, working as prime consultants and as sub-consultants. Often, we collaborate with local architects and design-build construction teams to ensure successful project outcomes.

Our services include structural engineering, parking ramp engineering, precast engineering, master planning, construction administration, cost estimating, systems design, bidding, negotiating, field observation, and construction documents. Additionally, we can draw on the Laboratory and Field resources of our sister company, "Construction Engineering Laboratory, " to help solve field construction or design problems, and to aid in inspection and material testing.

Over the years, PAI has built strong relationships with contractors, architects, building owners, developers, and governmental unit clients across the country. Our mission statement emphasizes effective control of a project's scope, budget, and schedule, and understanding the inter-relationship of these three elements, which largely determine the project's success and overall quality.

PAI's portfolio showcases a wide range of expertise in various sectors, including airports, auto dealerships, churches and temples, commercial-retail, education, garage-vehicle maintenance, gym-stadium-fieldhouse, hospitals, hotel-casinos, housing facilities, laboratories, military, office, parking structures, public works, recreation, rehabilitation, and warehouse.

We have successfully completed several highlighted projects, such as the 4 Marq in Minneapolis, Minnesota, which involved a site occupied by a one-story below-grade parking structure, and the Target Field Station, also in Minneapolis, which included a two-level parking structure with 291 public parking stalls. Another notable project is the Treasure Island Resort & Casino Expansion in Welch, Minnesota, which was a design-build fast-track project completed with Knutson Construction as the General Contractor.
