Northeast Technical Services, Inc. (NTS) is a professional environmental services company founded in June 1985 by Mike Appelwick and Tom Lucas. Initially, the company focused on managing, operating, and maintaining water and wastewater treatment plants, as well as providing basic wet chemistry laboratory analysis to these facilities. Today, NTS has evolved into a full-service company employing approximately 50 engineers, field scientists, geologists, lab technicians, and support personnel. Our business is built on a track record of proven success and long-term relationships, enabling us to identify and address potential issues with innovation and common sense solutions.

Our Services

At NTS, we offer a broad spectrum of environmental services, including consulting, engineering, engineering support, and data management for industrial and governmental clients. Our company is located in Virginia, Minnesota, and we specialize in services such as aquatic ecology and wetlands, site assessment and investigation, brownfields, data management, and water science and solutions. Our wetland professionals are certified by the Society of Wetland Scientists, and our staff holds certification from the Minnesota Wetland Delineator Certification Program. We also provide expertise in site assessment, including mergers and acquisitions, retail, manufacturing, wood products, and mining industries.
