Our Divisions

We have two primary divisions: the Building Envelope Engineering Division and the Building Envelope Consulting Division. The Building Envelope Engineering Division provides full-service engineering for exterior cladding systems, while the Building Envelope Consulting Division offers expert consulting services for building envelopes, building facades, and cladding systems.

Our History

Wheaton Sprague Building Envelope was founded in 1994 by John Wheaton, P.E., LEED AP, and Richard Sprague, a co-founder who brought his expertise in architectural curtain wall design. Over the years, we have grown and expanded our services to accommodate the evolving needs of our clients. Today, we have offices in Ohio, the Twin Cities area of Minnesota, and the Northeast US.

Our Leadership

Our company is led by John L. Wheaton, CEO and President, who has 24 years of experience in the building envelope and curtain wall industry. Under his leadership, we continue to strive for excellence in our services and innovations.
