As a local public works agency, the Franklin County Engineer's Office is responsible for maintaining and constructing the infrastructure of Franklin County, Ohio. Headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, the office has been serving the community for many years, working to ensure that the roads, bridges, and public facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained.

We also manage and maintain all county ditches, drains, retention basins, and other stormwater facilities within the right-of-way of county roads in unincorporated areas.

Geographic Information System Mapping

In addition to infrastructure maintenance and construction, we also provide geographic information system (GIS) mapping services. We utilize the latest technologies to create precise maps for real estate tax assessments, land surveys, and other applications.

Precise Countywide Horizontal and Vertical Control

To ensure uniformity in construction, surveying, and mapping, we establish precise countywide horizontal and vertical control. This ensures that all mapping and surveying projects are accurate and consistent.
