Our Story

Founded in 1977 in Greer, South Carolina, Century 3 (C3) began as a full-service general contractor with a focus on serving the industrial construction landscape. The visionary leadership of Howard Avery, Reid Eason, and Glen Bunton, who combined over a century of industry experience, set the stage for C3's remarkable growth and evolution. Initially specializing in self-perform industrial construction, with core strengths in piping, rigging, mechanical and electrical equipment installation, and relocation, C3 steadily expanded its service offerings to meet the ever-changing demands of its diverse clientele.

Driven by an unwavering commitment to client satisfaction and exceeding expectations, Century 3 embarked on strategic expansions throughout the years, broadening its geographic reach and diversifying its capabilities. A significant milestone was the establishment of Century 3 Shanghai in 2004, marking C3's entry into the dynamic Chinese market. This expansion was followed by the founding of Century 3 Engineering in 2014, with offices strategically located in Greer, South Carolina, and Augusta, Georgia. Further solidifying its global presence, C3 opened the doors to Century 3 Europe GmbH in 2019, tapping into the vast opportunities offered by the European market. Today, C3 boasts a robust global network of over fifteen hundred engineering and construction professionals, serving clients from its strategically positioned offices across the United States, China, and Europe.

Leadership

At the helm of C3 stands a team of seasoned executives with a proven track record of success. Each member of the leadership team brings a wealth of experience, expertise, and unwavering dedication to driving C3's mission of delivering exceptional value to its clients.

Under the guidance of President, Greg Hall, a financial and international business specialist with extensive experience in Europe, Asia, and the US, Century 3 has achieved remarkable growth and strengthened its position as a leader in the industrial construction and engineering sector. Hall's vision and strategic direction have been instrumental in propelling C3 to new heights.

Complementing Hall's leadership is a team of exceptional directors, each bringing their unique expertise to the table. Greg Zgol, Director of Operations, leverages his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Clemson University and 28+ years of hands-on experience to ensure seamless operational efficiency. Brandon Punch, PE, Director of Design, applies his vast knowledge as a Civil Engineer and 26+ years of experience to oversee all design aspects, ensuring innovative and robust solutions for every project.

Matthew Ware, PMP, Director of Client Solutions, with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and over 22 years in the EPC industry, champions client satisfaction through exceptional service and tailored solutions. Michael Burn, Operations Manager, brings over 40 years of experience in various industries, coupled with his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from The Citadel, to ensure the smooth execution of projects.
