MacMillan Associates, Inc. is a multi-disciplined engineering firm that has been providing exceptional value to our clients in the Great Lakes Bay Region and around the United States since 1963. Our mission is to deliver high-quality consulting engineering services that cater to a wide range of buildings and structures. We specialize in structural engineering, mechanical engineering, and electrical engineering.

Our team is oriented towards providing personal attention to the needs of our clients. Over the years, we have developed a comprehensive understanding of our clients' requirements and have been able to deliver innovative solutions that meet their needs. We have a dedicated staff that works closely with our clients from the initial planning stages through the final construction phase, ensuring that all projects are completed on time and within budget.

We believe in the importance of building long-term relationships with our clients, and we strive to maintain open communication throughout the entire project lifecycle. Our experienced staff is trained to provide prompt professional consulting and engineering design services on projects of all types and sizes.

Our team is comprised of 42 professionals, including 31 engineers, 13 of whom are licensed Professional Engineers. We also have seven designers/technicians and four administrative staff members. Our staff has a wide range of experience levels, from entry-level to over 50 years of experience. We are proud to have an average length of employment of over 15 years at MacMillan Associates.

We are based in Bay City, Michigan, and our office building is located in the Midland Street Business District. The building was originally constructed in 1873 as the Sage Lumbermill offices along the bank of the Saginaw River and was later converted to the employee general store of the Sage Lumbermill.

• Electrical Engineering: Our Electrical Engineering Department focuses on designing building power and lighting systems. We also have extensive experience in specialty lighting, short circuit analysis, arc flash studies, emergency power design, site lighting, and solar and wind power. Additionally, we design low-voltage systems including phone, data, security, and sound systems.

• Industrial Engineering: Our Industrial Engineering Department generates drawings, specifications, sketches, and reports that are necessary to keep progress moving at your facility. We assemble multi-discipline bid packages for projects such as new facilities, additions, and cooling towers, with a focus on efficiency and energy savings. We also perform single and multi-discipline projects and reports within structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering disciplines.
