Our Business

Wesley Engineering Group, Inc. was founded in 2004 by the current President, Mark Bird, in San Antonio, Texas. Since its inception, our business has been focused on the design and engineering of curtainwall and cladding systems for commercial buildings. San Antonio is a military town, and as such, we have had the opportunity to gain extensive training and experience with blast engineering. Our primary office relocated to Walnut Creek, California in 2013.

Who We Are

We are a group of professional engineers, drafters, designers, and consultants who have been working in the cladding industry for more than 20 years on average. Our network includes people from manufacturing, contracting, and consulting. Our President, Mark Bird, P.E., has more than 24 years of experience with a wide array of projects and systems, including high-rise unitized curtainwall systems in high-wind and seismic regions such as Manila, Hong Kong, and San Francisco. Mark has trained with some of the most prominent people in the field of blast protection in San Antonio, Texas. Our network of engineers and drafters covers more than 30 states and all types of disciplines.

Every contractor is different, and we understand that. We can provide solutions that match up with what you do and how you do it.

Design Support

You have questions. We have answers. We provide the technical expertise and experience to help our clients optimize the design and installation of their projects. As part of the team, we also provide support when working with other trades along with the general contractor and architect to ensure good design by all parties involved.

Engineering Analysis and Calculations

Wesley Engineering Group provides all of the technical analysis and calculations to demonstrate that the system meets the design criteria and codes. Our calculation submittal packages are well-organized and easy to understand so that they complement and support the design. We are well-versed with OSHPD, City of LA, and Florida requirements for submittals. Our engineers are licensed in over 30 states, including California and Texas, so we are experienced with seismic and hurricane-prone regions.

Blast Engineering

We have more than 15 years of experience with blast engineering and design. Our numerous projects include military and government facilities as well as petrochemical facilities. We are well-versed with dynamic analysis, equivalent static load, UFC 4-010-01, and the Physical Security Design Manual for VA Facilities.

Due Diligence

We provide site review and assessment of cladding systems on existing buildings. We can provide a report of the condition and offer suggested repairs, maintenance, and cost estimates. We can also troubleshoot as needed and offer solutions.

Shop Drawings

We offer competitive pricing for quality shop drawings. As with the engineering, our shop drawings are clear, well-organized, and easy to understand. All shop drawings will come with a detailed and informative summary of the drawing and the system it represents.
