Civil Engineering

Joint Trench

We take a creative approach to coordinating and designing joint trench projects, integrating gas, electric, streetlights, phone, and data utilities. Our team advocates for sound solutions on behalf of our clients, reviewing contracts and tariffs, and proactively communicating with agency staff.

Stormwater

UDCE frequently provides permanent and temporary stormwater management solutions to reduce and/ or treat site stormwater runoff for buildings, streetscapes, and construction sites. We navigate the stormwater process, coordinating closely with landscape architects and project team engineers to ensure seamless project execution.

• Jason J. Ling, PE: Founder and Principal of UDCE, Jason has over 20 years of civil engineering and project management experience. He is passionate about civil engineering and excels at finding strategies that excite all parties involved.
• Dean Pontzious, CSLB: As UDCE's in-house licensed general contractor and construction subject matter expert, Dean commands the demanding skills required for the overall planning and control of a construction project.
• Dana Hymel: As CFO and Dry Utilities Project Manager, Dana brings over 20 years of experience in Permitting, Project Management, Marketing, Sales, and General Management.
• Nicholas Lawrus: As Dry Utility/ Joint Trench Design and Production Manager, Nick engages with all members of a project design team to deliver value to UDCE's dry utility and joint trench projects.
