Who We Are
FSE is a Structural Engineering firm with locations in Arizona and Idaho. Since our establishment in 1995, we have been dedicated to providing exceptional engineering services to our clients. Our team is composed of highly skilled and experienced engineers who are committed to delivering innovative and cost-effective solutions. We specialize in both commercial and high-end residential projects, and have successfully completed over 10,000 projects since our founding.
Rick Frost, PE, SE
Rick Frost is the founder and owner of FSE. He is a registered Professional and Structural Engineer in Arizona, California, Colorado, Texas, Idaho, and Utah. Rick was born and raised in Arizona and has a BS and MS degree in Civil/Structural Engineering. His personal interests include fishing, mountain biking, and hunting.
Andy Kleinman, PE
Andy Kleinman is an Associate at FSE. He was born and raised in Prescott, Arizona, and has a degree in Mathematics from the University of Arizona and a MS degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from Brigham Young University. Andy enjoys playing basketball and watching U of A basketball.

Structural Design
We provide thorough, code-compliant construction documents such as structural calculations and CAD plans/details. Our team specializes in structural design for custom homes and low-rise commercial buildings.
CAD Plans/Details
We have created a library of thousands of structural details that specify proper connections between various materials such as steel, wood, concrete, masonry, adobe, and ICF wall systems. We are constantly evaluating our services to find better ways to specify and simplify our plans and details.
Special Inspection
We provide inspections for reinforced concrete, reinforced masonry, high-strength bolting, and welding. Our team is dedicated to ensuring that all construction meets the necessary safety standards.
