Business Details
We are Triskelion Engineering, a Certified Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) founded in 2016 with a core focus on nuclear power engineering and related construction management services. Our team is led by Principal Engineer Ricardo (Ric) Medina, an Operation Iraqi Freedom veteran who served aboard the USS Tarawa LHA-1 amphibious assault ship. Ric brings decades of hands-on experience working alongside top industry engineers on major nuclear and construction projects across the United States and internationally. Our foundational expertise is rooted in Rics early career at the FP&L Turkey Point Nuclear Plant in Homestead, Florida, followed by high-profile assignments including the TVA Watts Bar Unit 2 Construction Completion Project and the Mixed Oxide (MOX) Fuel Fabrication Facility at DOEs Savannah River Site. We have also delivered critical support for the TVA Bellefonte Nuclear Plant Construction Completion Project, the Fukushima Response at Duke Energys Robinson Nuclear Plant, Westinghouse AP1000 Nuclear Plants, and the ITER Tokamak Fusion Energy project in France. Ric holds a bachelors and masters degree in civil structural engineering with an emphasis in bridge design from Florida International University in Miami, plus a Specialists Degree in Numerical Simulation in Engineering with ANSYS from the Technical University of Madrid, Spain.
He is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Florida, ensuring all our work meets the highest professional and regulatory standards. We leverage state-of-the-art analytical software and proven technical methodologies to deliver reliable, compliant engineering solutions for projects of all sizes, from small builds to mega-scale nuclear facilities. Our full suite of services includes advanced finite element analysis, seismic equipment qualification, structural assessments, and end-to-end nuclear project construction management. We are committed to transparent communication, loyalty, and exceptional client service at every stage of a project, with a relentless focus on safety, cost, and schedule (SCS) alignment. Our long-term goal is to grow into one of the worlds leading engineering construction firms, while maintaining the humble, client-first mentality that defines our work.

Services
Finite Element Analysis
We perform advanced Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for nuclear facility structures, systems, and components (SSCs) under both normal operating and accident conditions. Our analysis covers modal, static, dynamic, local buckling, and thermal load scenarios to ensure structural integrity. This service supports compliance with all applicable nuclear regulatory codes and standards for safe power generation.
Equipment Seismic Qualification
We provide full Equipment Seismic Qualification (ESQ) services for all safety-related and non-safety nuclear facility equipment. Our team conducts detailed seismic and stress analysis for components including tanks, heat exchangers, pumps, electrical panels, and battery racks. This ensures all equipment remains functional and compliant during seismic events to support plant safety.
Seismic Assessment
We conduct comprehensive seismic assessments for existing and planned nuclear facility structures and components. Our evaluations identify potential seismic vulnerabilities and recommend targeted mitigation strategies to ensure regulatory compliance. This service helps clients minimize seismic risk and maintain uninterrupted power plant operations.
Pipe Support Design
We design and analyze pipe and conduit support systems for nuclear facility piping and electrical conduit runs. Our designs meet all applicable seismic and structural code requirements to prevent failure during operational and seismic events. This ensures reliable, safe transport of fluids and electrical signals across all plant systems.
Nuclear Construction Management
We provide end-to-end construction management services for nuclear power plant projects of all sizes. Our team oversees cost management, schedule tracking, on-site work monitoring, and regulatory compliance inspections to meet project goals. We prioritize safety, cost, and schedule alignment to deliver projects on time and within budget.
