Our Story

Clearwater Engineering was founded by Debra Van Dyk in January 1991, and we have since grown into a reputable firm in the region. Our expertise has been honed over the years through experience and innovation, with a focus on low-impact design principles. Our principal engineer, Nicole Costello, has over a decade of experience in the field, with a strong track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. Nicole's expertise lies in land development, planning, and design services for commercial and residential sites, municipal and small public water and wastewater systems, as well as stormwater projects. Her expertise is showcased in reducing erosion, managing runoff, retaining and detaining stormwater, and minimizing the effects of runoff on downstream properties. Low-impact design is a particular area of interest for our firm.
