Bassett Engineering is a state-of-the-art civil and environmental engineering firm that has been delivering exceptional services to clients throughout Pennsylvania since 1996. Our experienced team of Professional Engineers, Engineering Technicians, Construction Inspectors, and Support Staff is dedicated to providing expert guidance, support, and expertise in a wide variety of engineering issues that confront our clients. We have served as Lycoming County Co-Engineer for the 2010-2015 period as well as Lycoming County Planning Commission Engineer for the 2010-2013 period. We are a growing firm equipped to assist clients with engineering services, including the study and design of roadway reconstruction & resurfacing, bridge & culvert replacements, streetscape enhancements and reconstruction, dams, water treatment, storage and distribution systems, wastewater collection systems and treatment plants, land development plans and subdivisions. Our full-service offerings also include funding assistance, environmental permitting, NBIS bridge inspections, gas industry assistance, and surveying.

Bassett Engineering's office is located in Montoursville, just east of Williamsport. We have been certified by PennDOT as an SBE (Small Business Enterprise) in the state of Pennsylvania, allowing us to take on roles as both a prime consultant in transportation projects, as well as increasing eligibility as a subconsultant on partnering projects.

Our Services

At Bassett Engineering, we offer a wide range of services in civil and environmental engineering, including:

• Bridges and Culverts: We have partnered with multiple municipalities to update many bridges and culverts, from full replacement to repair. We also specialize in bridge inspections.
• Roads: We have completed numerous street projects, including roadway reconstruction and resurfacing, curb, sidewalk, driveway, and ADA compliant pedestrian safety.
• Water: Our expertise includes engineering water storage tanks and force mains, plus distribution systems including pump stations. We have modeled water distribution systems to identify system deficiencies and develop capital improvement plans for infrastructure replacement and upgrades.
• Buildings and Land Development: We design land developments such as the expansion of the Walnut Street Christian School in Clinton County, the Comfort Inn expansion in Lycoming County, lighting, and parking improvements.
• Wastewater: Our practice is focused on wastewater treatment in general. Britt Bassett, PE, BCEE, is a Board Certified Environmental Engineer by the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists and is an expert in nutrient removal and leachate permitting.
• Funding Assistance: We assist our clients in securing federal, state, and local funding for their projects.
• Surveying: Our survey crew utilizes cutting-edge technologies to ensure accurate and efficient data collection.
• Environmental: Our expertise includes permitting, streambank restoration, and renewable energy projects, such as waste-to-energy.
