Our Team

MEFI Engineering was founded by Maury Fortney, ME, PE, in 1992. Mr. Fortney is licensed in the states of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Alaska. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering from Portland State University and his Masters of Engineering Degree from the University of Idaho. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the American Association of Engineering Educators. He is also an ABET volunteer Program Evaluator for Civil Engineering programs.

Mr. Fortney's background and experience give clients someone to rely on for all areas of Civil Engineering. As the principal engineer for MEFI Engineering, Mr. Fortney has been in responsible charge of projects that have included Structural design and analysis, Subdivision design and layout, topographical mapping, hydrological analysis for storm water, traffic studies, and retaining wall design.
